Zenzo Connect -- Group & Page Admin Rules
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Zenzo Connect empowers immigrants and diaspora communities to form groups, run events, and build pages that reflect their cultures, businesses, and shared goals. If you're an admin of a group, page, or event on Zenzo, you play an important role in keeping the community safe, respectful, and productive.
These rules help guide how you manage and moderate spaces under your care.
1. Be a Responsible Leader
As an admin, you are responsible for:
-
Setting the tone and culture of your group or page
-
Monitoring and removing harmful or misleading posts
-
Responding to user concerns in a respectful and timely way
Example: If you manage a group for "Ghanaians in Massachusetts," it's your job to ensure discussions remain respectful and relevant, even when members disagree.
2. Enforce Zenzo's Guidelines
Admins must uphold Zenzo's:
-
Community Guidelines
-
Ad Content Policies
-
Goods Marketing Guidelines
You must not allow:
-
Hate speech, spam, or harassment in your group or page
-
Promotion of fake services (e.g., visa scams, miracle cures)
-
Disrespect toward other cultures, religions, or nationalities
Example: If a user posts fake immigration help for $200, it should be removed immediately and reported.
3. Manage Posts and Members Fairly
-
Apply group rules equally --- no favoritism
-
Don't delete or block members without reason
-
Give clear warnings before taking action when possible
-
Remove posts or members that repeatedly break rules
Example: If someone shares the same business ad five times in one day, you can limit them and explain why. If they ignore your message, you may remove them.
4. Keep It Relevant and Respectful
Make sure your group or page stays true to its purpose.
Examples:
-
A "Rwandan Boston Moms" group should focus on parenting, resources, and support --- not be flooded with unrelated ads or political arguments.
-
A page for a Caribbean-owned cleaning business should focus on services, offers, and client updates --- not unverified news or rumors.
5. Event Hosting Responsibilities
If you're creating or hosting an event on Zenzo:
-
Provide accurate date, location, and contact info
-
Be clear about whether the event is free or ticketed
-
Respond to attendee questions or issues before and after the event
Example: If you host a "Diaspora Business Meet-Up," list the venue, dress code, entry fee (if any), and make sure someone is available to welcome attendees.
6. Admin Conduct Matters
Admins must lead by example. Repeated admin violations (e.g., allowing hate, fake listings, or ignoring complaints) may result in:
-
Admin removal
-
Group or page suspension
-
Account restrictions
7. Collaborate with Zenzo Moderators
Zenzo may occasionally reach out to admins to:
-
Verify suspicious content
-
Provide moderation tips
-
Support large or high-traffic groups
We're here to help you succeed as a community leader.
