Zenzo Connect -- Community Guidelines
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Zenzo Connect was built for people like you --- immigrants, diaspora members, and global community builders --- to connect, share stories, promote businesses, find help, and celebrate cultures.
To keep our community safe, welcoming, and respectful, these Community Guidelines apply to all users and all content shared on the platform. By using Zenzo Connect, you agree to follow these rules.
1. Respect Each Other
We are a diverse community representing many cultures, backgrounds, languages, and beliefs.
-
Avoid hate speech, bullying, threats, or discrimination based on race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or immigration status.
-
Do not attack, shame, or embarrass others, even if you disagree with them.
-
Be mindful when discussing sensitive topics like politics, religion, or identity.
Example: It's okay to share your views on an election or immigration reform, but it's not okay to insult or attack others who think differently.
2. Keep It Real and Safe
Zenzo is built on trust. Please:
-
Use your real identity --- don't impersonate someone else.
-
Avoid fake offers, scams, or misleading posts.
-
Report suspicious activity, including messages asking for money or claiming to offer visas, jobs, or benefits too good to be true.
Example: A user posting "Get a U.S. Green Card for $100, no paperwork!" is violating our policies and will be removed.
3. Share Appropriate Content
Help us keep Zenzo welcoming for users of all ages and backgrounds:
-
No nudity, sexually explicit content, or adult services
-
No violent, graphic, or disturbing imagery
-
No promotion of weapons, illegal drugs, or dangerous products
Example: Sharing a flyer for a community fundraiser is great. Posting a video of a fight at a protest is not.
4. Respect Intellectual Property
Only share content (photos, music, videos, logos) that you own or have permission to use.
Example: You can post a song you wrote and recorded, but not upload someone else's copyrighted music unless you have the rights.
5. Be a Good Neighbor
-
Support others' growth, share helpful information, and engage with kindness.
-
Promote your business honestly and respectfully --- avoid flooding groups or feeds with repetitive ads.
-
Don't post spam or mass messages to unrelated groups.
Example: It's okay to post about your cleaning business once a week in a relevant group. Posting the same ad 10 times in one day across different groups is spam.
6. Keep the Community Clean
Admins review posts before they go live. Posts may be removed or delayed if they:
-
Break any of these guidelines
-
Contain harmful or misleading information
-
Are flagged repeatedly by other users
7. Reporting and Enforcement
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it immediately through the in-app reporting tools or by emailing: support@zenzoconnect.com.
Violating these guidelines may result in:
-
Content removal
-
Temporary suspension
-
Permanent account deletion (for repeated or serious violations)
8. Together We Build a Stronger Community
Zenzo is not just a social app --- it's a movement to support and uplift diaspora communities worldwide. By following these guidelines, you help create a space where everyone feels welcome, empowered, and connected.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
