Zenzo Connect -- Payment Terms
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
Zenzo Connect may offer paid features, promotional tools, or allow users to send and receive payments for services, events, or goods. These Payment Terms apply whenever you make or receive a payment through the Zenzo Connect App and are part of our overall Terms of Service.
1. Types of Payments on Zenzo
You may use Zenzo Connect to:
-
Boost posts or run ads (e.g., promote your barbershop to users in your city)
-
Sell services or event tickets (e.g., charge for Swahili lessons or a diaspora networking event)
-
Make in-app purchases (e.g., buy a premium badge for your business listing)
-
Send donations to verified community causes or fundraisers
2. How Payments Work
-
Payments may be processed by Zenzo directly or through trusted third-party payment processors (like Stripe, PayPal, or Flutterwave).
-
You must provide accurate billing information and use only payment methods you are authorized to use.
-
All prices will be shown in your local currency or USD, depending on your location and service availability.
Example: A Kenyan entrepreneur in Boston promoting a new bakery may be billed in USD using their U.S. debit card, while a user in Uganda sending a donation to a diaspora fundraiser may pay in UGX via mobile money.
3. Refunds and Disputes
-
Most payments are non-refundable, unless there was a technical error or fraudulent activity.
-
For promotional services (like ads), Zenzo does not guarantee results (such as likes, follows, or purchases).
-
If you have an issue, contact us at paymentsupport@zenzoconnect.com within 7 days of the transaction.
Example: If your ad failed to publish due to a system error, and you were charged, we'll review and may issue a refund or ad credit.
4. Your Responsibilities
If you are receiving money (e.g., selling event tickets or offering a service), you are responsible for:
-
Delivering the promised product or service
-
Complying with local tax and business laws
-
Handling refunds and customer service for your buyers
Zenzo may charge a small service fee for facilitating these transactions. You'll always see this fee before confirming the payment.
5. Fraud, Security, and Account Review
To protect our community:
-
We monitor all payment activity for suspicious or fraudulent behavior.
-
We may suspend or limit payment access if we detect risk or misuse.
-
Zenzo may request identity verification or proof of service delivery before releasing funds.
Example: If someone tries to sell fake travel documents or scams users through a payment link, their account will be disabled and reported.
6. Taxes and Legal Compliance
You are responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes in your country related to payments you receive through Zenzo. Zenzo does not provide tax advice but may issue summary transaction reports to help you comply.
By using payment features on Zenzo Connect, you help grow trusted commerce and support networks within the global immigrant community. Let's build with integrity and respect.
